I'm not sure you've finished the prezi, I look forwarded to captions and if possible screen shots from the trailer. Note the personality, deter, determination and costume of Sara Lund challenges the conventional representation of women in thrillers. The actress has claimed that she was aiming for a female character who reflects what is normally acceptable in uncompromising male police inspectors/strong chracters. That is dedicated to job, not defined as wife or mother but defined by commitment to job and finding the truth. She is not a femme fatale at all, more she is a progressive representation reflecting real women in real jobs and this is why the series has such an enormous audience. You may find some interviews with Sofie Grabol the actress who plays the lead in the Killing discussing the role. The following website may be of interest.

To quote from the article re Sara Lund:.....
She is a somewhat unlikely hero: uncommunicative, occasionally bungling, neglectful of close relationships and family life. But the detective's unshakeable commitment to finding Nanna Birk Larsen's killer over that first 20-hour season was matched only by the fans' growing fervour for Lund herself...
Excellent explanations of purpose generic conventions. Confident, articulate and confident use of film language. If you find any more to add to your prezi I will re-assess.

Interesting about audience commitment as well.
